Child Psychiatrist
Stephen Cheek, MD, joined Marcus Autism Center as a Child Psychiatrist in 2020. He completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science in psychology from The University of Alabama in 2011. He subsequently completed medical school at the University of South Alabama in 2015. Dr. Cheek went on to complete his psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel from 2015 to 2018, and completed his training in the Emory University School of Medicine Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program from 2018 to 2020. Dr. Cheek has a long-standing passion for child psychiatry and working with children with autism. His experience with autism dates back to medical school, when he worked on research about the education of children with autism through novel use of technology and robotics.
