The depth of Bernie’s philanthropy has impacted the lives of so many in our city. Their voices speak to Atlanta’s collective desire to thank Bernie for his generosity, but also to amplify the spirit he has inspired in us all. It is to this end and to honor Bernie’s 90th birthday that our community comes together to raise much needed funds to advance four organizations close to Bernie’s heart. Bernie, his family and his foundation have given hope, healing and inspiration to millions, and likely many, many more yet to come. Happy birthday, Bernie!

Learning what autism was from an employee struggling to care for her son inspired Bernie Marcus to spend a lifetime supporting kids with the disorder.
Founded by Bernie in 1991, Marcus Autism Center, now a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, has had a wide-reaching impact on children and families, conducting game-changing research to advance early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Thanks to Bernie and his foundation, we're expanding our reach to kids with autism around the world; We're giving kids specialized care as early as possible, and we're transforming the future of autism through innovative research.
