Dana M. Trahant Zavatkay received her doctorate in school psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004. Dr. Zavatkay is currently the program coordinator of the School Consultation Program at Marcus Autism Center.
She is responsible for providing consultation services to a variety of school systems across Georgia and coordinating the services provided by other consultants.
Dr. Zavatkay’s primary research interests are to examine how applied behavior analysis (ABA) can be integrated into the school setting, determining which methods of consultation lead to the most effective and efficient training of school staff.

Kids are kids—even when they have autism. This is something that Katherine Carter and her family knows firsthand. In addition to juggling work, housekeeping and raising two teenagers, Katherine and her husband are raising Charlie, an active 9-year-old diagnosed with autism.
