Bethany Hansen, Ph.D., received her doctorate in school psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2014. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Marcus Autism Center and Emory University.
Dr. Hansen is currently a licensed psychologist in the Language and Learning Clinic at Marcus Autism Center. The Language and Learning Clinic provides children with developmental disabilities intensive one-on-one services, group intervention services and caregiver training based on the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). She is responsible for developing and overseeing language intervention and behavioral programming, training and supervision of staff and trainees, intakes, and caregiver consultation.
Her current research interests include evaluating efficient teaching strategies that promote skill emergence, as well as approaches to providing community services, such as caregiver training.
Kids are kids—even when they have autism. This is something that Katherine Carter and her family knows firsthand. In addition to juggling work, housekeeping and raising two teenagers, Katherine and her husband are raising Charlie, an active 9-year-old diagnosed with autism.
