Daniel M Tucker, M.D., joins Marcus Autism Center as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for children and families in outpatient treatment.
Dr. Tucker brings rich experience to this endeavor, having worked over 40 years with children living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in diverse clinic, public and private, and academic and research settings. He comes most recently from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he was Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He listens to learn and is a dedicated teacher, recognized in particular for teaching of medical students and post-graduate trainees.
His academic and clinical endeavors have included the Yale Child Study Center, the University of Florida, the University of Louisville and the University of Alabama-Birmingham, as well as community psychiatry settings in Kentucky, Connecticut, and Florida.
He joins Marcus Autism Center as a clinician who deeply cares for his patients, while also striving to integrate new knowledge onto the clinical palette of psychiatry.
Diagnosed with autism when he was just a year old, Ryan Cartledge is now 18 with a bright future ahead of him. His father says, "Marcus Autism Center changed Ryan's life."
