Dr. Novoa completed her pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, NY. She completed fellowships in Leadership Education in Neuro-Developmental Disabilities (LEND) and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as a pediatric residency at Pedro de Elizalde Children’s Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Novoa is board certified in both Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and graduated with honors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Facultad de Medicina, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Novoa has done extensive research on treating patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), behavioral disorders, ADHD, and fetal alcohol syndrome. In 2012, Dr. Novoa received a grant for training and dissemination activity from Autism Speaks for Autism Treatment Network, Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health. She also received the “Excellence in Medical Student Teaching” award from Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Dr. Novoa worked as a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician at The Child Study Center, Fort Worth, Texas from 2014 – 2016 where she diagnosed and treated children with developmental disabilities.

Sean Ahlberg’s aggressive behavior was keeping him from enjoying time with his family and getting out into the world. Since beginning his treatment at Marcus, Sean's behavior has changed and he has even become verbal with help from the Language and Learning Clinic.
